Fantabulous Cricut Challenge

Hi Everyone!

I am submitting this adorable "Onesie" card for this week's Fantabulous Cricut Challenge. The challenge was to use some sort of trim, ribbon, or lace. My primary trim is black and white twine that takes place of stitching! I would buy a real live onesie that looked like this! :)

So many of my friends are pregnant and many friends have recently had babies. This card is for a new little baby girl at our church.

For this card, I used:
  • Cricut "Everyday Pop-up Cards"
  • My Creative Time scallop and circle die cuts
  • lots of bling!
  • twine that I bought from Peachy Keen
  • Peachy Keen "Princess Faces"

Have a great upcoming week!

Katie

Peachy Keen Challenge - "Friends" Theme A7 Card

Hi Everyone!

So the birthday card that I made for my dad (50's soda shop themed) inspired this "You're Soda Best"card (check this out on my last post). I was trying to think of what sort of catch phrase would work with the whole 50's theme soda shop thing, and that is what I came up with. Not sure that it turned out EXACTLY as I had envisioned, but I still think it's pretty cute. The checkerboard background was meant to look like the 50's black and white checked tile.

Materials used:
  • Cricut "Sweet Treats" / "Storybook" for the lettering / "Sentimentals" for 'You're'
  • twine from Scrappy Moms
  • ribbon ($1.99 ribbon from Marshall's)
  • a variety of inks for inking the edges
  • 1"x1" black and white squares (I scored them using my Martha Stewart scoreboard, and then ripped them to give them a more weathered look)
  • I hand cut the straw
  • Peachy Keen - PK-490 Everyday Character Face Assortment
  • Polka dots embossing

Hope you all enjoy! If you make my day and leave me a comment, I would love for you to paste the link to your blog so that I can peruse your blogs! Thanks for stopping by!

Miscellaneous Crafts

Hi Guys! Happy weekend! This past week I made several projects (cards, care packages, and treats) because of Valentine's Day, my husband's birthday, and my dad's birthday. Lots of fun!

1) Peachy Keen hosted a blog challenge to create a project using toilet paper rolls, and I couldn't think of anything extraordinary, but I did LOVE an idea from Cristina, a member of the Peachy Keen Design Team, so I copied it for Valentine's Day treats. They are not as pillowy as I would like them, so I'm going to have to remember to smash them down a little bit more next time. The top one was for Kyle and the one below went in a care package to Kelly.

Another idea I borrowed from this same week's challenge was from Emma over at My Creative Time. This was by far my favorite project of the challenge. I used Sees candy pops just like Emma, but I also stuck these same cute faces on some V-day peppermint patties, which turned out very cute also. They were little gifts for my student aides at school.

2) Birthday Cards for 2 Wonderful Men!
This birthday card was for Kyle
The below birthday card was for my dad and was made using:
  • my cricut Sweet Treat cartridge
  • peachy keen faces
  • the checkers are made from 1x1 inch squares that I measured, scored, and ripped with my Martha Stewart scoreboard - I was going for a 50's soda fountain look.
  • twine on the little ice cream scoop faces
  • the top ribbon is from $2 ribbon packs that I found at Marshall's
  • faux stitching

More scrapping soon! xo

Double Entry Challenge

Hi Everyone! Thanks for visiting! This week I plan to submit this fun bug DPS to the Peachy Keen Pinterest Photo Inspiration Challenge AND Emma's My Creative Time BUG challenge! I don't have a title on it yet because I haven't quite decided what I want to name it...

These challenges are something TOTALLY new to me, and I find them very MOTIVATING to craft. All those crafters out there are so talented...you guys are amazing!

Just ordered Emma's little scallop die cut, which pair perfectly with Peachy Keen stamps, and I'm IN LOVE! I copied one of her cute Valentine's Day ideas with lollipops and will post soon!

Anyway, enjoy!

Katie
