My Own Scraps Transformed into My Own Treasure!

Hi Everyone,

TGIF! Started my Friday night with Olive Garden and a glass of wine and ended it with this cheerful taste of spring. I thought the food and wine from OG were satisfying UNTIL I made this card. LOL. The Peachy Keen Face on the little chick and sun just make the whole card I think.

I'm submitting these to the following challenges:

Cricut Cartridges:
  • Plantin Schoolbook (grass)
  • Simply Charmed (chick)
  • Feelin' Groovy (flowers)
  • Sun (Accent Essentials)
Peachy Keen 754 Critter Faces SET A Medium
Pin Wheel (Martha Stewart Scoreboard)
Tsukneko Ink
Tim Holtz Tags Die

Have a fabulous weekend! You guys would make my weekend if you become a follower. I would LOVE to go visit your websites, too. Thanks for visiting! :)

Fantabulous Cricut Challenge #103

Happy Wednesday! Week is almost over - thank God for that!

I found time to dabble a little bit in crafting tonight, and I'm going to submit this to the Fantabulous Cricut Challenge #103...I've been trying to film a video teaching everyone how to make these "Tim Holtz" inspired flowers using my Accent Essentials Cricut Cartridge, but my video camera wasn't working, and my camera memory needs to be cleaned...stay tuned for a video soon though! Had to edit the post and card, because I didn't read the challenge directions carefully enough - we needed to have 3 flowers, not just one. OOPS! And I tell my freshmen to read directions. :)

I plan to give this birthday card to another one of my colleagues who has a birthday coming up.

Materials used:
cuttlebug embossing, which is inked (flower pot & card)
Accent Essentials (flower layers)
Scrappy Moms stamps (sentiment)
baker's twine
Everyday Pop-up Cards (flower pot)
"CANDI" wanna be brads (these are AWESOME!)
paper flowers from Michael's (the 2 on the left)

Thanks for visiting! I would LOVE for you to join as a follower - the more the merrier! Would love to follow your sites, too! Have a wonderful rest of your week.

Peachy Keen Challenge & Manly Man Card

Hi Guys,

Back for another evening of crafting! So I made this card to submit to both the Peachy Keen Challenge and My Craft Spot "Manly Man Card" challenge. I used to coordinating colors required for Peachy Keen's and themed it according to the "Man" theme. I held it up next to my husband and asked him if he felt manly next to it. With lots of conviction he said yes. :)

Materials:
Simply Charmed Cricut Cartridge
Baker's twine
buttons
Cuttlebug Embossing

The face is of course from: Peachy Keen

The sentiment is from Scrappy Moms.
Have a great Sunday and happy crafting!

Krafty Girls Challenge!

Hi All,

For this Krafty Girls Challenge, I decided to bedeck a bulletin board (My Writer's Wall of Fame) in my classroom at school with a home assembled wreath adorned with homemade flowers (cut from Accent Essentials) in coordinating colors to match the material I have covering that board. I looked up youtube videos about how to make flowers over the summer, and once you acquire the skill, it's like riding a bike - so it was super easy to construct these. It is a little bit time consuming though.

I had found this boa wreath and the stick wreath at Joann's on sale awhile ago, and I just stuck the two of them together and fastened them with wire.

Hope you all have a great weekend! I'm going to try and spend some time crafting this weekend. Would LOVE for you to join as a follower! Thanks for stopping by!

Happy Birday!

Hope everyone is having a great weekend! I've been super busy with school and haven't been able to craft, but I have SOO many occasions coming up that I really needed / wanted to catch up on a little bit this weekend.

Here is a "Birday Card" for a colleague of mine. Can't wait to give this to her! :) I am also submitting it for a challenge on My Craft Spot and Crafty Catz Weekly Challenge and Simon Says Stamp Challenge Blog.

For this 5x7 card I used:
  • great select ribbon from American Crafts
  • bird - "Simply Charmed"
  • Happy Birday "Once Upon a Princess" - I cut the 't' and 'h' out to create the pun.
  • birdcage - "Everyday Pop-up Cards" - I trimmed this from the pop-up option
Have a great rest of the weekend!
